Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what data ML Career Simulator (the "Service") collects and how it is used.

1. Data we collect

  • Account data: your name (shown on the certificate), email address and a password (stored only as a cryptographic hash — we cannot see your password).
  • Learning data: your progress — quiz results and completed modules.
  • Subscription status: whether your account has an active subscription.
  • Traffic source: if you arrived via a link from our social media, we store the campaign tags (utm) to understand which channel brought you.
  • Aggregate page counts: for public lesson pages we keep a daily tally of how many times each page was opened, together with the campaign tag of the link. These are plain counters kept on our own server — no cookie is set, no visitor identifier is created, and no IP address or browser string is stored, so the counts cannot be traced back to you.

2. What we do NOT collect

  • We do not store card numbers or payment details — payments are handled entirely by payment providers (WayForPay or Stripe) on their secure pages.
  • We do not use third-party advertising trackers or analytics scripts on the site.
  • We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing.

3. Cookies

We use only essential cookies: a session cookie to keep you signed in and a language preference cookie. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used.

4. How data is used

  • To provide the course: track progress, issue the certificate, manage the subscription.
  • To answer your support requests.
  • Aggregated, non-personal statistics (e.g. how many users signed up from a given social network) to improve the Service.

5. Data storage and security

Data is stored on servers of our hosting provider (Railway) with encrypted connections (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed with a modern key-derivation function (scrypt). Access to the data is restricted to the Service operator.

6. Your rights

  • You can request a copy of your data or its deletion at any time by emailing support@mlsimulator.com from your registration email.
  • Deleting your account removes your personal data; anonymized aggregate statistics may be retained.

7. Third-party services

Payment processing: WayForPay (Ukraine) or Stripe — see their privacy policies for how they handle payment data. We receive from them only the payment status, never card details.

8. Changes

We may update this Policy; changes will be published on this page with a new date.
